Speen is a poet,
He writes them all the time,
But the problem with his poems is
They never seem to.. flow.
He writes them for his friends,
About the things he sees,
When wandering through the Wilderness,
Of butterflies and.. beetles.
One day he'd like to write a book,
And sell it in a shop,
He's sure he'll soon be famous,
And he'll never ever...Quit

The Pareidolian Pixies are created using the phenomenon pareidolia, or seeing faces in objects. Using random splatters of paint, no two pixies are the same, and I can never predict the faces that will appear once the paint has dried. Other than choosing the colours, I have very little control over how the pixies will look, and sometimes they take a long time to reveal themselves and their stories to me.
The pixies are painted on 100% recycled cotton paper, which adds a wonderful texture and shows off the granulation and separation of the paints I use. I almost exclusively use handmade watercolours from a few small paint makers around the world to achieve high quality, heavily pigmented paintings.
Although I have sealed every original painting with fixative, please try to avoid touching them, as the natural oils from your skin may affect the paint. All of the paints I use have a high light-fastness rating, but are best kept out of long-term, direct sunlight.
